The Cancer Performance Tracker for the EU27, Norway and Iceland was developed by the OECD to complement the Country Cancer Profiles. It provides a snapshot of the country’s performance compared to the EU level and over time across several cancer domains: cancer prevention, early detection, cancer care capacity, and cancer care outcomes. This powerful tool highlights areas where countries are performing well and where substantial work remains to be done. With the future cycle of Country Cancer Profiles, the Cancer Performance Tracker will be updated and help track country performance and progress over time.

Notes:
- EU averages are weighted for overweight and obesity, air pollution, cancer mortality, and educational inequalities but unweighted for all other indicators. EU averages do not include Iceland and Norway;
- If comparable national data is not available, the indicator is not shown;
- Trends are added where relevant to show the change in performance over time within the country;
- ASMR = Age-standardised mortality rate; PYLL = potential years of life lost; pp = percentage point;
- For more information on methodology see EU Country Cancer Profiles Synthesis Report 2025 .
