The education attainment levels of individuals are classified according to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) into 3 categories:
- “Primary education” refers to less than primary, primary and lower secondary education
- “Secondary education” refers to upper secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary
- “Tertiary education” refers to tertiary education
